Job Description:

To support our growth, we are currently seeking a Energy Efficiency Technician. In this role, Energy Efficiency Technicians conduct walk through energy assessments and perform installations of a wide variety of energy savings technologies including smart thermostats, lighting and water savings measures. Additionally, technicians educate customers on how their homes use and waste energy and the provide guidance on how to conserve energy.  

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for installations, service and inspections and/or conducting energy audits and assessments to quantify energy consumption to recommend energy saving practices and measures​.

  • Educate customers on their usage, install energy-saving/safety measures and recommend energy saving practices to customers​.

  • Maintain a safe working environment for UES employees and utility customers at all times, providing a high level of customer service and education for each service or installation performed​.

  • Conduct detailed audits, assessments or work orders assigned daily as scheduled according to the technical specifications of the program​.

  • Provide customers with education sessions and recommendations on energy efficiency measures​.

  • Identify potential conservation measures, savings potential and recommend energy efficient technologies as appropriate​.

  • Manage supplied inventory materials and company issued equipment​.

  • Clean job site and treat customer property with the utmost respect, ensuring spaces are left in the same or better condition they were found​.

  • Troubleshoot issues that may arise during scheduled customer appointments​.

  • Communicate all existing and potential customer service issues to immediate supervisor in real time​.

  • Conduct work in compliance with company safety procedures​.

Skills/Requirements:

  • Incredible communication and customer service skills

  • 1 years work experience in customer facing role

  • Basic electrical and HVAC troubleshooting skills

  • High School graduate or equivalent (GED, Technical Diploma, Certificate of Completion, etc.) HVAC tech certification preferred

  • Proficient in English, Bilingual is a plus

  • Possess a valid and current state driver’s license with clean driving record and dependable mode of transportation

  • Pass a criminal history background check

  • Ability to use tablet based technology

  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task

  • Proof of Auto Insurance (Required)
